REVIT

A very operational course

The course has been designed for those who meet this software for the first time and want to learn how to use it and how to produce technical drawings, complete with plans, elevations, sections, 3D views, architectural details and constructive, comparative tables (in fact been / state of the project), calculations and renderings.

It is a complete and fundamental course: you will learn the software starting from zero. You do not need knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD programs, you only have to know how to use the computer-mouse and key commands (copy, paste, drag, save as, etc..). It is an intensive course, concentrated in two or three weeks (half a day), so as to optimize learning without dispersion in time.

Revit has one of the best learning method: it allows the user to learn in a very natural design system that gives great results in a short time.

Course program

The course will start by presenting the first graphical user interface and the most important management tools of the design, insisting on the understanding of the "philosophy" of the program: the concept of BIM (Building Information Modeling) allowing you to have a centralized management of the project, the its graphic data (3D models, the technical tables) and analytical data (calculations, documentation, etc..).

Once you understand the way in which Revit manages the construction of the project and how to work with views, you will deepen in the project settings, levels and changing parameters of the views.

We will see how to create all the classic architectural elements (walls, doors, windows, stairs, roofs, floors, railings) and how to create more complex elements such as curtain walls and Topographic Surfaces. We will see how to set the look of each one by varying the degree of detail depending on the scale used.

Once the 3D model is created, you will learn how to extrapolate documentation: plants listed, elevations, sections, 3D views and sections, tables of calculation, ultimately creating the technical tables complete with squaring and cartouches.

During the classical making of a project, we will face very practical macro subjects which we will discuss: the management of the project phases, through which you create the Comparative tables (Overlay) of the State of Fact and the State of Design (yellow and red) and 3D modeling of land from a topographic survey.

The course will be closed with a lecture about the three-dimensional rendering of the project and program compatibility with other software such as AutoCAD (export and import), and Autodesk 3D Studio MAX Design.

Topics covered in the course:

Overview and basics of Revit Architecture

Difference between Revit and other CAD software, the method of BIM management, relationships and constraints between objects and the concept of Families; graphical interface and operation of the controls. Basic commands.

Creation of architectural elements

Creating levels, the inclusion of Walls, Doors, Windows, Floors, creating a multi-storey building and a copy of the items in the levels.

Customizations and graphics of the architectural elements

Definition of materials for the architectural elements; Creating Custom Walls, Floors and Roofs Creating custom. Loading Families custom doors and windows.

Plan and reliefs

Creating a terrain model; division of the land; import from AutoCAD contours and reliefs from DTM and implementation of the land, the creation of sub-regions and platforms. Inserting elements of plan.

Management of the status quo and the status of project

Concepts related to the state of affairs and the state of the project; Creation of the State of Fact; Editing and creation of the state of the project. Creation of comparative tables (yellow and red).

Customization of the architectural elements (parametric families)

Concepts related to the personalization of parametric families. Adaptation and use of custom architectural elements (Component / local model).

Other architectural elements

Creating railings, countertops, Ramps, Structural beams, roof, foundations.

Documentation of the project

Dimensioning of plants; Creating Folders and Sections, drawings, Perspective views, customized view for Folders and Sections; creation, customization, and composition of technical drawings; Creating and detailing; Tables computation. Management Areas and Local. Staining areas.

Rendering of the project

Creation of rendering; rendering of outdoor scenes, rendering scenes of interior. Work on the creation of rendering materials, the use of daylight, artificial lighting and photometric diagrams.
